What better way to learn about Donor Awareness Council programs, resources and volunteer opportunities than to make a date with us! We will host a complimentary Get Acquainted meeting for individual groups and new volunteers interested in getting to know us at a time and location convenient to everyone. Get Acquainted With Organ and Tissue Donation Meetings provide an opportunity to:

• meet the staff
• chat with other volunteers and community members
• learn how you can get involved in educating people about organ and tissue donation

Whether you have a personal connection to transplantation and donation or are simply interested in being involved, this orientation will provide you with a clear understanding of:

• Donor Awareness Council history
• Our member organizations and collaboration efforts
• Our education accomplishments and goals for the future
• The state of donation and transplantation today facts and figures
• Donor Awareness Council current programs and projects
• How you can get involved as a volunteer

Other features include a special presentation by a transplant recipient or donor family volunteer who shares his or her personal journey to help people understand the importance of saying yes to organ and tissue donation.
