Organ and tissue donation can be part of the spiritual journey for many of us. Whether we have been personally touched by waiting for or receiving a life-saving organ transplant, donating the organs and tissues of a loved one or helping a friend through this difficult time, many of us have turned to our faiths for guidance and support.

Donor Awareness Council works closely with members of various faith organizations and laypeople interested in learning about donation from a spiritual perspective. With guidance from our Religious Advisory Committee, we've developed numerous resources and programs to reach out to the community through faith organizations, including:

• Resource manual for clergy
  
• Brochures, posters and donation-related giveaways
  
• Transplant recipient and donor family volunteers available to speak to congregations and study groups
  
• Fact sheet on religious beliefs about donation
